I hardly post on the forums but this is ridiculous. FW is way too terrible of a gamemode to have this harsh of a ban. The real team killers (who are smart enough to keep it at 3) run along being trolls, while those who actually play the game are being punished. Below I have three situations that happened to me today and they demonstrate the complete lack of thought when designing the banning rules for FW, and hopefully a way to fix them.
1. I'm in an LAV, driving to an objective. A friendly tanker in the road decides to quickly move into my way right as I pass him. My LAV explodes, it counts as a suicide, and the tanker is perfectly fine.
2. A friend is in a game where our team laid down a thousand nanohives to lag up the game. He trys to go fix and destroys a couple of friendly nanohives that all within 10 meters of each other, and far away from any action. He is then promptly kicked for trying to be the good guy.
3. I start a game, call in a tank, and drive towards an enemy objective. Within 30 seconds of the match started I'm kicked for team killing. All I've done was drive forward with no friendlies in front of me. This is the one that really gets me, cause of some dumb glitch I get to sit around until tomorrow to make up the 6 matches worth of standing I lost.
Lower the number of people you can kill to three, as it only counts punishes Limit the maximum amount of equipment that can be deployed Have a 24 hour ban OR a -450 standing rule. Now I can't make it back up or just take a break Fix the "Sorry you decided to spawn in, now sit around while everyone else has fun" bug, as it is absolutely ruining any inspiration I had gained to play this game now that 1.7 added cool stuff. |

Just got banned again by getting in a tank and started driving. I had no team kills or friendly fire, but when a friendly ran into the side of my tank as I was making a 4 degree turn in the direction he was coming, I guess it killed him, and I was banned again. I've come up with a new theory regarding how one reaches the 5000 damage cap, and that is if you fire a 30 damage bullet at a friendly who only has 20 health, it will count as you doing 30 friendly fire damage, not 20. This doesn't seem bad, but when it's a railgun doing 1500 damage on a 600hp dropsuit, it can seem like a very bad way of figuring friendly fire damage.
So on to my incident, by tapping my friendly with my tank, it must have been calculated as me doing over 5000 damage, even though he only had like 500. This is an awful way of doing things, as now anyone in a vehicle can be kicked instantly for an awful way to calculate how much damage is done with a collision. Something like this should be fixed immediately, especially how 4500 damage I didn't even do is kicking me from FW. |
